The statistics are pretty staggering – four times as many consumers would rather watch a product video than read about it (Animoto, 2015), and marketers who use video increase their revenue 49% faster than non-users (Aberdeen, 2015). But video isn’t just for marketers – as I explain in my video at the bottom of this post, video has the power to connect and engage – and that can be meaningful for educators, trainers, or anyone who is just trying to get and keep the attention of their audience.
The next question becomes, how do I start using video without breaking the bank? Check out my tips for professional, do-it-yourself videos.
Now, video can still be tough to learn and a little overwhelming at times – and that’s why I started my business. I want to help nutrition professionals create great videos because I know how effective they can be.
If you’d like to learn a little more about my video process, I have some events coming up – please join me!
I’ll be talking with Megan Boitano, Owner of RD2RD Digital Marketplace about my tips and ideas for incorporating video into your digital marketing strategy. View Event Details.
Want to learn the nitty gritty details of my video production process? This webinar is for you. The live webinar is open to all, but the recording, handouts, and CPEU documentation is only available to DBC members (if you’re an RD, I highly recommend becoming a member!). View Event Details.
April 20, 3:30 pm EST: Making Connections Panel Discussion, DC Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Annual Meeting
I’m honored to be presenting on a panel where we’ll be talking about non-traditional RD careers. We’ll be giving out advice for growing your skills and areas of expertise, and how to connect with non-RDs to grow in your career and business. I’ll be talking about my career journey, how I chose my new business direction, and how I grew my non-traditional RD skills. I’ll be around throughout the event as well, so please introduce yourself!
